2 Secretaries

Our secretaries carry out the word-processing of all GP referral letters as well as other ad-hoc letters to patients, hospitals or other outside agencies.

They also complete xray cards and fax emergency referrals as well as taking minutes at meetings and a variety of other admin tasks.

2 Data Entry Clerks

Our summarising clerk is responsible for 'coding' all pertinent and important medical diagnoses, operations and medical histories from incoming hospital letters and other medical documents onto the clinical system.

They also summarise all incoming new patient notes so that the GP or Nurse has a good overview of a patients medical history prior to them joining the Practice.

The data-entry clerk 'codes' all relevant and important non-diagnostic information. e.g lab results and other tests, general health information such as BPs, smoking and alcohol intake as well as allergies. This information is taken from all incoming clinical mail.
