What is a PPG? |
They are not new, Patient Groups (sometimes referred to as Patient Participation Groups) were first formed in 1972 and work with their practices to provide practical support, to help patients to take more responsibility for their own health and to provide strategic input and advice.
They are based on co-operation between the GPs, the practice staff and patients. They help to improve communication.
Market Drayton Patient Group |
Was formed in 2006, with the encouragement of the Medical Practice, to help with the NHS aim that patients should be given more information about the patient care and services provided by the NHS, both locally and nationally. MDPGs main focus is the service and care delivered by Market Drayton Medical Practice.

Market Drayton Patient Group currently has seven members, but can have up to 15. We want to encourage other patients to join us, so if you are interested in doing so please contact us either by letter or email using the contact details below. Please include a short paragraph about the skills and experience you feel you can bring to the Patient Group.
