CHANGES TO OUR APPOINTMENT SYSTEM

From 6th April 2022 we will alter the way we operate our appointment system.  It will be similar to the system that was in place prior to March 2020.

Please be aware that the doctors have asked the reception staff to ask you the nature of your problem in order to signpost you to the most appropriate type of appointment.

You will be offered one of the following appointments:

1. A routine appointment with a Doctor, Physician Associate, First Contact Practitioner, Nurse or Healthcare Assistant up to 4 weeks ahead

2. An emergency appointment with a Doctor, Physician Associate, Minor Illness Nurse, Minor Injuries Nurse or Community Pharmacist. Please note these appointments are for ONE PROBLEM ONLY

3. A same day appointment if you feel that your symptoms cannot wait until the next routine appointment.  Your contact details will be taken and added to the phonecall book and wait list. One of the doctors working that day will carry out a phone consultation. You will not be able to choose which doctor makes the call. These appointments are for ONE PROBLEM ONLY and will be limited in number.

4. Home visits can be requested as normal, but a visit cannot be guaranteed by the receptionist as a doctor may telephone you to carry out an assessment with you. Where possible requests should be made before 10.30am
